Deputy General Director of FSUE “Rosmorport” for save navigation Viktor Vanyukov had a working visit to the FSUE “Rosmorport” Murmansk Branch on 3 – 4 March 2015.

The visit was aimed at a newly made system of vessel traffic control (VTS) in Kandalaksha bay. The given system will allow to increase level of safety for navigation, provide its efficiency and also raise levels of Safety of Life at Sea and marine environment protection by providing vessels with services the main of which will be informational services, assistance in navigation as well as traffic control.

Within the visit Viktor Vanyukov hold a meeting with the general contractor LLC “Arbat-stroy” at which they discussed completion of the construction. Moreover, on 5 March Deputy General Director of FSUE “Rosmorport” for save navigation made a tour of the Murmansk seaport facilities and hold a meeting dedicated to realization of the project “Vessel traffic control systems construction on approaches to seaports of the Russian Federation”. Barents VTMIS Russian segment construction with integration into VTS system in Kandalaksha bay. Realization of the project is being carried out in accordance with Memorandum of Understanding between Ministry of transport of the Russian Federation and Ministry of Fisheries and of coastal administration affairs of the Kingdom of Norway aimed at cooperation strengthening in order to increase navigation safety level at routes in the Norwegian and the Barents Seas.
