About Dredging Works Planning in the Transport and Handling Coal Complex in Vanino Seaport, Muchke Bay, Khabarovsk Territory

FSUE “Rosmorport” informs all interested persons of its intent to conduct dredging works during navigation 2015 for the project “Construction of a transport and handling coal complex on the northern coast of the Muchke Bay, in the framework of the federal target program “Development of the transport system of Russia (2010-2020)”.

The works on this project is a subject of a tender, which FSUE “Rosmorport” is going to hold in 2015 in accordance with the requirements of Federal law No. 223-FZ dated 18.07.2011 “On goods, works, services procurement by certain types of legal entities”.

According to the project, dredging works shall be conducted at the same time with the construction of hydraulic facilities, and extra soil shall be extracted near the berths after completion of their construction.

The works are planned to be held in two stages:
- stage I: dredging in the basin of berth No. 1 with the project seabed level of -19.3 metres to be reached and 909 thous. metres of soil to be extracted;
- stage II: dredging in the basin of berth No. 2 with the project seabed level of -21 metres and with the project seabed level of -21.2 metres in the turning basin to be reached, and 607 thous. metres of soil to be extracted.

In order to protect the hydraulic constructions from damage, within 10 meters from the berth soil shall be excavated to the project seabed levels by grabbing.

Stages I and II are to be executed successively, without breaks.

By the difficulty of excavation the II and V soil types prevail.

There are two coastal sites for dumping of excavated soil – the main and the backup ones.
Excavation is planned to be made by a trailing suction hopper dredger with soil running from the dredger through a pipe to the coast dump.

Within 10 metres from the berths dredging to the project seabed levels shall be performed by a grab dredger based on a Bleikhert-type floating crane with the grab bucket volume of 4 cubic metres.

The dredging facilities for the project are supposed to include the following:
- trailing suction hopper dredger – 1 item;
- САТ DJ dozer – 2 items;
- САТ 380 excavator – 1 items;
- САТ 980 one-bucket wheel loader – 1 item;
- pump station – 2 items.

If necessary, the vessels mentioned above can be replaced by vessels with similar technical characteristics. The final choice of the dredging facilities will be made by the customer according to the results of the tender.

In order to provide maneuvering safety on approach to the berths of the transport and handling complex, it is necessary to:
• construct and commission a marine light of the type “ZN SNO 15mm”;
• install auxiliary daymarks (information boards) along the boundaries of the dredging areas;
• set 6 floating warning marks (light buoys) to indicate dangerous depths of the maneuvering basin of the transport and handling complex;
• set “Kolonna”-type navigation marks in the beginning of berth No. 1 and in the end of berth No. 2.

Please note, that the works described above can be performed together with the dredging in the waters of the Kozmino marine terminal and of the Sukhodol Seaport being under construction, provided that the contractor has the necessary dredging capacities.

In order to gather information, FSUE “Rosmorport” invites all potential contractors interested in performing of the works described above to send a free-form confirmation letter that shall contain main company details to t.maksimova@rosmorport.ru till 12.02.2015.

FSUE “Rosmorport” underlines that the present request of information does not constitute an obligation, neither stands for beginning of contractual relationship or a guarantee of cooperation between FSUE “Rosmorport” and a company that will send a confirmation letter.
