“Professor Khlyustin” Ship Completed the Main Part of Its Work in the Pacific
During the period from 2 to 4 October the works were conducted at eight stations from the 10 planned. The further works have been stopped because of weather conditions worsening.
Now “Professor Khlyustin” is staying at the Tsugaru Strait entrance which lies between Japanese islands Honsu and Hokkaido. To escape the approaching typhoon the ship plans to put out to the Sea of Japan on 7 October.
“Professor Khlyustin” intends to take the course to Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky seaport, however, the approaches to it will be blocked in the nearest 3-5 days. The crew of the ship carefully follows the weather conditions.
