In Hamburg (Germany) in the period of 9 to 12 September, 2014 the 26-th Shipbuilding, Machinery and Marine Technology International Trade Fair SMM 2014 took place. FSUE “Rosmorport” delegation headed by Andrey Tarasenko, General Director of the enterprise, has visited the fair.
 
SMM is the largest international event in the field of shipbuilding held every two years since 1963. It brings together representatives of the shipping and shipbuilding companies, design offices, suppliers of marine products, equipment and technologies, as well as academics, government officials, politicians, representatives of the banking sector and other specialists.
 
As a part of the joint stand OJSC “United Shipbuilding Corporation” has presented at the exhibition a model of the linear diesel-electric icebreaker of 21900M project and the Atlant semisubmersible platform specially designed for the construction of icebreakers in this series.
 
The named Russian shipyard on commission from FSUE “Rosmorport” is currently implementing a project of construction of the three icebreakers of 21900M project at the production facilities of OJSC “Vyborg Shipyard”. The Vladivostok icebreaker, the head one in this series, the body of which was launched in late April 2014, is currently in the completion. On the Atlant semisubmersible platform the body of the third icebreaker in the series is being currently formed which is called Novorossiysk, and the second icebreaker in the series is being completed on the Finnish shipyard «Arctech Helsinki Shipyard».
 
At the stand of FSUE “Krylovsky State Scientific Center”, in turn, a model of 21900 project icebreaker has been presented. According to this project, with the participation of the scientific center during the design and development stages, on the order of FSUE “Rosmorport” two diesel-electric icebreakers Moskva and Sankt-Peterburg have been built, and now they successfully work in the Baltic Sea.
 
The FSUE “Rosmorport” delegation has visited the stands of the world leaders in the field of shipbuilding, ship repair, ship manufacturing and port equipment, and has got acquainted with the innovative solutions and the latest developments in the field of construction of marine equipment, condition and prospects of the development of shipping and shipbuilding. Representatives of the enterprise have held a series of talks on technical issues with the main manufacturers of marine equipment, which can be used on FSUE “Rosmorport” vessels.
