On 16 August, 2013 an agreement for the time charter of the Grand Holiday cruise ship was signed between FSUE “Rosmorport” and Costa Crociere SpA.

The cruise ship will be used as a floating hotel during the winter games in Sochi next year. The 12-deck liner built in 1986 will offer 726 rooms of 3 and 4 stars to the spectators and temporary staff. The vessel is to be moored in the cargo area of Sochi Seaport in the Mzymta River estuary.

Costa Crociere SpA is the winner of an open request for proposals conducted by FSUE “Rosmorport” in 2013.
