Icebreaker assistance period in the Gulf of Finland is completed

Icebreakers of FSUE “Rosmorport” have completed pilotage of vessels in the waters of the seaports of Big Port of St. Petersburg, Ust-Luga, Vyborg, Vysotsk and Primorsk and on the approaches to them.

The end of the icebreaking period was announced on April, 8 by the orders of the seaport captains due to the improvement of weather conditions and clearing of water areas from ice.

In Russian seaports of the Gulf of Finland of the Baltic Sea, the period of icebreaking pilotage for vessels was announced at the beginning of December, 2023. 12 icebreakers of FSUE “Rosmorport” were involved in the work in this water area.

Earlier, the enterprise completed icebreaking operations in the waters of the largest seaport in the Khabarovsk Territory, seaport of Vanino, and on the approaches to it, as well as in the Azov and Caspian Seas. To date, the icebreakers of FSUE “Rosmorport” continue to provide pilotage for vessels going to the seaports of the White and Okhotsk Seas.
