The orchestra of the FSUE “Rosmorport” Far Eastern Basin Branch takes part in the events at the Eastern Economic Forum

The orchestra of the FSUE “Rosmorport” Far Eastern Basin Branch and the Maritime State University named after admiral G.I. Nevelskoy became an active participant in the events of the VIII Eastern Economic Forum (EEF), which was held on September 10-13, 2023 in Vladivostok. The orchestra provided musical accompaniments to key events of the business and cultural program of the forum.

On September 10, the creative team performed at the naming ceremony of the Arctic gas tanker Alexey Kosygin and the shuttle  tanker Valentin Pikul. Both tankers were built by order of PJSC Sovcomflot and JSC Rosnefteflot, respectively. The event was held within the framework of the EEF with the participation of the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin at the Zvezda shipbuilding complex, located in the city of Bolshoy Kamen, Primorsky Krai.

The meeting of the President of the Russian Federation was accompanied by an arranged presidential fanfare performed by the orchestra. At the end of the naming ceremony, the Anthem of the Russian Federation and a solemn march were played.

Vladislav Kitaev, Head of the Protocol of the President of Russia, expressed gratitude to the staff and orchestra conductor Anatoly Yakimenko for the high professionalism demonstrated during the solemn event.

On September 12, as part of the EEF cultural program, works performed by the FSUE “Rosmorport” orchestra were played at the opening of the “Conquerors of the Seas and Gifts of the Oceans in the Monuments of the Moscow Kremlin Museums” exhibition at the Vladimir K. Arseniev Museum and Reserve of the Far East History. Old classical music, waltzes and marches of the 60-70s of the last century were performed.

The exhibition, consisting of 150 exhibits, highlights the glorious history of the Russian navy, the age-old traditions of Russian navigation, the courage and heroism of many generations of Russian navigators-pioneers.

The final solemn event accompanied by the orchestra was the awarding ceremony for the participants of the EEF-2023 Sail Parade. It took place at the 30th berth of the seaport of Vladivostok on September, 13 with the participation of Evgeny Pankratov, Director of the FSUE “Rosmorport” Far Eastern Basin Branch, Igor Pavlov, Director of the Eastern Economic Forum, and other honored guests.

During the event, the winners and prize-winners of the Roscongress Cup sailing regatta, the Parade of Sails regatta, Chinese representatives of the Far East Cup international regatta, captains of training sailboats, representatives of the Association of Training Sailboats and the Sailing Federation of Primorsky Krai were awarded with prizes. At the end of the award ceremony, the orchestra performed the Anthem of the Russian Federation and the Anthem of the People's Republic of China.
