The All-Russian Children's Center “Orlyonok” celebrated its 58^th birthday on July 12, 2018. The festive morning began with a celebratory assembly on the Starry square of the camp.

The guests of the event were the captain of the sailboat “Chersonese” Dmitry Teslenko, representatives of authorities, of the Russian fleet support movement in Novorossiysk. Russian artists and musicians congratulated boys and girls, pupils of previous generations of “Orlyonok” were also present.

Children's creative teams and their leaders conducted a festive concert for the guests. All day long, interactive creative and excursion sites had been working on the territory of the camp. More than 3,500 people took part in the celebrations.

On the eve the “Khersones” sailboat arrived in the water area of the Children's Center. During the stay of the frigate on its board excursions for guests and pupils of “Orlyonok” were conducted. Everyone could climb to the command bridge, get acquainted with the structure of the ship, stand at the helm, look into the cabins and hit the watch bell. Participation of “Khersones” in the celebratory program became a memorable gift from FSUE “Rosmorport”.

On the children's camp birthday, cadets of maritime educational institutions, who are undergoing practice on the frigate, took part in celebrations. After the morning celebratory assembly and the official part of the program an excursion was conducted for them. The youngsters visited the museum of the Naval Glory, as well as the Museum of Aviation and Cosmonautics. The crew and cadets of the sailboat were invited to a concert.

The day ended with colorful fireworks.
