FSUE “Rosmorport” thematic shift opens at Russian Children’s Center “Orlyonok”

FSUE “Rosmorport” opened a partner’s shift “The Ocean of My Dream” at the Russian Children’s Center “Orlyonok” on June 27, 2018. One hundred winners of the contest organized by the enterprise arrived at the children’s center to take part in the FSUE “Rosmorport” educational project “My Port”.

The event involved Deputy Head of the Tuapse Directorate of the Azovo-Chernomorsky Basin Branch Mikhail Litvinenko and Chairman of the Krasnodar Territory Department of the All-Russian Public Movement for Fleet Support Sergei Sitnikov.

The guests of the ceremony greeted children and wished them interesting research and new discoveries.

Litvinenko said, the FSUE “Rosmorport” thematic shift played an important role for the younger generation. “I believe that the Ocean of My Dream shift will become a fascinating voyage for guys where they can acquire new skills and knowledge, rich impressions and, of course, new friends. No doubt many of you will choose the maritime profession in the future and become real sailors”.

Sitnikov said, maritime educational institutions needed such talented and persevering children as participants in the Ocean of My Dream thematic shift. In conclusion of his speech he gave two books to the head of the Stormovoy children’s camp as a token of friendship and cooperation.

A solemn parade was held at the children’s center. On the occasion of the opening of the shift the flags of the Russian Federation, the Russian Transport Ministry, Rosmorrechflot and the FSUE “Rosmorport” thematic shift were hoisted to the strains of the Russian hymn.

The participants in the shift, winners of the All-Russian contest “My Port”, arrived at the famous children’s center to acquire new knowledge and make new friends. Children will stay at the center till July 13. Interesting activities, musical and sportive competitions, master classes and informative shows expect them. Children will learn to make sails, bend knots and read stars on the open sea. In addition, young researchers will study the secrets of the Black Sea and its coast. 

The purpose of the My Port project existing from 2015 is to implement educational programs, which contribute to patriotic education of the younger generation and strengthening of respect to the glorious historical past of Russia as the naval power. The project has been developed by a group of experts in the field of additional education programs and it is aimed at popularizing professions of the port activities and supporting maritime traditions.
