The Artek International Children’s Center marked its 93^rd anniversary on June 16. Solemn parades were held in all camps. Throughout the day children have been taking part in contests and master classes of the City of All Trades during the festival of creativity.

The fair of national cultures became one of the most tumultuous and cheerful playgrounds. The colorful event united delegations from 14 countries. National dances followed modern variety turns.

By ancient tradition, this day ships enter the Gurzuf Bay: sailors of the Black Sea congratulate the younger generation. For two consecutive years now the Khersones sailing ship has been taking part in the celebrations marking the anniversary of the Artek center. This year the Kovrovets naval mine-sweeper has kept company for the Khersones frigate. One would watch the ships on the Artek sightseeing platform with the aid of binoculars.

Crewmembers and cadets undergoing training on the Khersones sailing ship have been invited at a gala concert held in the evening.

Thirty groups representing different countries performed on the stage. The holiday ended with fireworks.

Ancient friendship unites FSUE “Rosmorport” and the Artek International Children’s Center. As part of the socially oriented educational project “My Port” hundreds of children got the possibility to take part in thematic shifts, which are aimed at early deep vocational guidance of children in the sphere of maritime activities. The project is effective and upgrades from 2015.

This year the thematic shift will be held from July 14 to August 04. A fascinating entertainment program “Sea – Romantics – Profession” awaits the guys.
