The laying wreath ceremony to the tombs of former leaders of the transport sector was held at Moscow’s Novodevichy Cemetery on May 4, 2018. The ceremony was headed by Minister of Transport of Russia Maxim Sokolov. The event was timed to the celebrations of the 73rd anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War.

The ceremony involved agencies subordinated to the Ministry of Transport of Russia, veterans of the industry, representatives of transport higher education establishments. The solemn ceremony was also attended by FSUE “Rosmorport” Acting General Director Ya.V. Bykov and FSUE “Rosmorport” Deputy General Director O.A. Gubina.

The solemn ceremony is an opportunity to give tribute to the memory of heroes, remembers feats of the best of them, turn the youth to strengthening the traditions of patriotism and dedicated service to Motherland.
