Vladimir Maizus noted that the plant set the challenge to create the first digital shipyard. This will allow for building state-of-the-art vessels.

The digital shipyard is a correct combination of business approaches, practices and technical instruments. The comprehensive approach will allow for increasing control and operational discipline, reduce the terms of the construction and achieve a general reduction in costs.

The use of production advanced technology and the advantageous geographical location will allow the new shipyard to compete for a market of inland vessels in the basins of the Neva River, the Volga River, the Kama River, the Moskva River, the Don River, the Onega Lake and the Ladoga Lake.

Upon completion of the ceremony the FSUE “Rosmorport” acting deputy general director for the fleet held a working meeting with the management of the Onego Shipyard to focus on prospects for modernizing the plant under the implementation of the concept “The Digital Shipyard”.
