FSUE “Rosmorport” takes part in Transport of Russia 2017 exhibition

The major annual exhibition “Transport of Russia 2017” opened in Moscow on December 6, 2017. FSUE “Rosmorport” takes part in the exhibition as a strategic partner.

During the opening ceremony, Russian presidential special envoy for environmental activities, the ecology and transport Sergei Ivanov read out Russian President Vladimir Putin’s greetings message. He said the exhibition was the key event in the sector’s activities and gave an opportunity to determine the major vector of the development of the transport complex and set the scope of work for the future.

In his turn, addressing the audience Russian Transport Minister Maxim Sokolov outlined the major principles of the event: to demonstrate the best achievements of the transport sector and give an impetus to discussions on prospects for the development in order to ensure sustainable growth and prosperity of the country.

Sergei Ivanov and Maxim Sokolov visited the FSUE “Rosmorport” stand on the first day of the exhibition.

FSUE “Rosmorport” General Director Andrey Lavrishchev told the guests about the priorities of the FSUE “Rosmorport” activities. Among such priorities is navigation safety in water areas of Russian seaports. Over the 10 months of the current year FSUE “Rosmorport” has rendered navigation services to 843 825 vessels which is 6.8% more than the same criteria for the similar period of the year 2016.

A place of work of an operator of the vessel tracking management system has been replicated specifically for the Transport of Russia 2017 exhibition. That is an operator display module, which provides an opportunity to watch vessel movement in straits of seaports in real time. A simulation training tool shows a real situation of ship-traffic control in the Strait of Kerch and the seaport of Novorossiysk. A software and hardware system presented at the exhibition demonstrates data of the water area of the seaport of Sabetta.

Moreover, the FSUE “Rosmorport” General Director reported on the 2017 navigation results of the Black Sea cruise line. This project has been also presented on the enterprise’s stand during the forum.

“Transport of Russia” is one of the major international events that promotes the dialogue between business communities and the authorities to jointly resolve issues that the Russian transport complex faces. The event is held at the Shopping Mall from December 6 to December 8, 2017.
