Black Sea Cruise Line Presented at Holidays Forum

On September 19, 2017 the 23rd international tourism forum, “Holidays”, was opened in Moscow.

This year the development of domestic travel has become the priority. More than 30 Russian regions and tour operators from 49 world countries presented their projects at the forum.

On the first day of the forum cruise line service between the seaports of Sochi, Novorossiysk, Yalta and Sevastopol has been presented at the business lunch.

The project for restoring cruise service in the Black Sea Region was realized in fulfillment of Russian President Vladimir Putin's instruction. LLC “Black Sea Cruises” founded by FSUE “Rosmorport” in 2017 has become an operator of cruise service.

In order to organize passenger service a comfortable motor vessel, the Knyaz Vladimir, has been bought. The cruise vessel left for its first voyage on June 11, 2017.

During the first navigation, the liner transported about 4,000 passengers along Russia's Black Sea coast. The existing cruise route is also an alternative for a Russian tourist and a supplement to their rest on the Black Sea. In addition, the cruise route is popular among foreign tourists, especially among citizens of Belarus and Kazakhstan.

The participants of the forum stressed tourists' increasing interest in the tourist product. They noted the high potential of the development of routes along the Black Sea coast.
