New boat launched at LLC “Onego Shipyard”

A solemn ceremony was held in Petrozavodsk at the LLC “Onego Shipyard” on September 6, 2017 to launchthe new Adis workboat with ice strengthening to be used by FSUE “Rosmorport”.

The vessel is designed for using it for general  purposes, delivery of commissions and crew members on board, transportation of cargoes, patrolling, inspection and environmental monitoring of the water areas. Besides that, the Adis workboat can perform the functions of pilot's boat. The boat's seagoing performances will allow it to operate in difficult meteorological conditions in open sea with wave height higher than 3.5 meters.

The workboat will be operated in embouchures, coastal areas of open and territorial seas, gulfs, harbor waters with the removal from the shelter site of no more than 20 miles.

Launching a boat is one of the stages of its construction. After that, outfitting works, docking and  sea trials will be conducted afloat whereafter the vessel is put into operation.

The Adis is an exclusive boat in the series of six vessels of ST23WIM Project that are built at the Onezhsky Shipbuilding and Ship Repairing Plant due to be used by FSUE “Rosmorport”.

The Adis is an ancient name of the town of Temryuk in Krasnodar Territory. At the end of the XVI century Kabardin Prince Temryuk Idarovich built a fortress on the site of modern Temryuk jointly with the Russian troops. In 1570 it was renamed as Adis.
