FSUE “Rosmorport” General Director Visits North-Western Basin Branch
On August 18, 2017 FSUE “Rosmorport” General Director Andrey Tarasenko made a working trip to St Petersburg to visit the North-Western Basin Branch.
During the visit, Tarasenko and the Branch's management and employees discussed the further route of and the cities where the Mir sailing ship being under operative management of FSUE “Rosmorport” is planning to call at. This year the ship marks the 30th anniversary. The plan of action on the preparations for the jubilee was also on the agenda.
The participants of the meeting discussed in detail the preparation of the Branch's icebreaker fleet for the upcoming winter navigation. In order to make frozen seaports accessible round-the-year FSUE “Rosmorport” is now developing a plan of icebreakers arrangement for the winter navigation in 2017-2018.
In addition, the enterprise's management discussed prospects for implementing a project for reconstruction of berth complexes and the crossing points on Lieutenant Shmidt Embankment. The constructive decisions of the project will make it possible to increase the terminal's capacity and comfort of passengers, who arrive in the city aboard sea vessels.
After the meeting awards have been given to the Branch's employees.
FSUE “Rosmorport” Director-General Andreiy Tarasenko presented a certificate of merit to Director of the North-Western Basin Branch Sergey Pylin for the achievements in labor and high professionalism. The Best in Profession award was also given to Chief Mate of the Moskva icebreaker Vitaly Kuznetsov.
