Conference On Navigation Safety in Kerch Strait Held in Kavkaz Seaport

On July 12, 2017 FSUE “Rosmorport” Deputy General Director for Navigation Safety Viktor Vanyukov held a conference at the vessel tracking management center in the seaport of Kavkaz focused on carrying out marine operations and floating transportation of fairway arches of railroad and motor road bridges with ascending them in a permanent position on fixed supports.

The conference was attended by representatives of the Azovo-Chernomorsky Basin Branch and the FSUE “Rosmorport” Crimea Basin Branch, as well as by Kavkaz Seaport Captain Sergei Naumov.

The participants in the conference discussed the procedure for interaction of the vessel tracking movement system of the seaport of Kerch, vessel tracking movement system of the seaports of Taganrog and Azov, as well as the regional vessel tracking management system of the Kerch Strait, and the coordination between pilot's services of the FSUE “Rosmorport” branches for pilotage of convoys on the Kerch-Yenikal Canal and Fairway No. 50 and Fairway No. 52. In addition, they assessed the Branch services' readiness for ensuring navigation safety in the Kerch Strait at the moment of carrying out the marine operation in the bridge construction area.
