First Passenger Vessel Moors in Petropavlovsk-Kamchatskiy

On June 26, 2017 Professor Khromov passenger ship became the first vessel to have moored to the modernized berth of the new marine station in Petropavlovsk-Kamchatskiy.

Currently there are 30 members of the crew aboard the vessel, and several scientists who investigate the flora and fauna of the region. In a short time 50 tourists will come on board of the expedition ship and travel to Chukotka to visit the protected areas and the Kamchatka Peninsula.

Mooring of the expedition ship became possible through the range of works on construction of a new modernized transport complex.

On the course of the project FSUE "Rosmorport" made an extensive repair of the berth No. 5, which meets all the requirements of the transportation safety and technology of vessel processing. After its completion the berth can accept vessels with the length of up to 98 m.
