FSUE “Rosmorport” long-term development program approved

On June 14, 2017 the Government Commission on Transport gathered for a session chaired by Russian Vice-Premier Arkady Dvorkovich to approve the FSUE “Rosmorport” long-term development program for the period of 2016-2020.

The FSUE “Rosmorport” long-term program has been worked out with the participation of an external advisor of McKinsey and Company CIS Ltd. The document determines strategic goals and key performance indicators of FSUE “Rosmorport”, forecast cargo transshipment in the seaports in the perspective of 2020 and in the long run of 2030. The program also determines the need for harbor capacities and assesses investment projects with the enterprise's involvement according to the method “costs-benefits” and their ranking.

In accordance with the approved long-term program cargo tonnage of the Russian seaports should increase from 722 million tons in 2016 to 880 million tons by 2020 and exceed 1.000 million tons by 2030. Among the key factors, which will facilitate the growth of cargo tonnage, the program notes the growing needs of Russian shippers, particularly crop yield and cereals collection till 2030.

The FSUE “Rosmorport” long-term program is formed based on the existing state programs and does not affect their changes and formation.
