On March 22, 2017 as part of the VIII Annual Project “Barriers and Growth Points for the Transport Industry of Russia” the Conference “Port Infrastructure of Russia” took place in Moscow.

Deputy Minister of Transport of the Russian Federation – Head of the Federal Marine and River Transport Agency Victor Olersky, Deputy Director of the Federal Marine and River Transport Agency Nadezhda Zhikhareva and FSUE “Rosmorport” Executive Director Andrei Lavrischev and other representatives of the  transport industry organizations took part in the event.

The Conference participants discussed the current and perspective requirements of the port infrastructure of the Russian Federation, investment support and state programs, possibilities to increase port capacities as well as innovative technological decisions for contemporary terminals construction.

Port activity is a strategic aspect for the development of the country's economy and one of the key sectors for the country's transport system functioning. To conform with the trade and transport requirements the seaports of the Russian Federation should provide port infrastructure that is competitive at international scale as well to render high quality services in the short-, mid- and long-term perspective.
