On January 12, 2017 meeting on execution of the Presidential instructions on organization of regular maritime traffic between Sochi and cities of Crimea peninsula was held in Moscow.

The meeting was held under the chairmanship of the FSUE “Rosmorport” General Director Andrey Tarasenko. The discussion of issues on selection of the cruise line operator company was attended by representatives of the Federal Agency for Tourism, representatives of Administrations of the Krasnodar Territory, the Republic of Crimea and Sevastopol, as well as companies engaged in organization of cruise shipping and tourism.

Participants of the meeting discussed the issues on the organization of regular maritime traffic between Sochi and cities of Crimea, the sources of financing for the purchasing of a cruise ship for passenger conveyance and the specific work of the maritime operators on this route as well as the state of the infrastructure of the seaports of Crimea, including their conformity to the requirements of transport safety and safety of navigation.
