For drawing attention of society to the issues of ecological development of the country, preservation of biological diversity and ensuring ecological safety, by the Russian Federation Presidential Decree the year of 2017 is announced the year of ecology in Russia.

Careful attitude to the nature is one of the most important priorities of FSUE “Rosmorport”. Economic activity of the enterprise is carried out in full accordance with requirements of the international standards and the nature protection legislation of the Russian Federation.

For decrease in negative impact on the environment in seaports of the country the enterprise introduces the modern innovative technologies directed to reduction of emissions of harmful substances in the atmosphere. In branches of FSUE “Rosmorport” the program of energy saving and increase in energy efficiency is implemented, activities regarding providing to courts ecological services in collecting ship waste extend, works on compensation of damage to water bioresources are carried out.

FSUE “Rosmorport” has the right to carry out activities for handling over 300 types of waste that allows to render the full list of high-quality services to vessels. In 2016 the license for implementation of activities for collecting, transportation, processing, utilization, neutralization and placement of waste of the I-IV classes of danger is renewed. In total in 2016 FSUE “Rosmorport” has rendered services in collecting waste to over 12,5 thousand vessels, having collected more than 37 thousand tons of oil-containing waters and about 11 thousand tons of sewage.

In 2016, for elimination of consequences of negative impact on a condition of water bioresources and their living environment, FSUE “Rosmorport” allocated over 25 million rubles from own funds for artificial reproduction of more than 8 million individuals of juveniles of fishes.

In the seaport of Vostochny the incinerator IN-50.4 used for thermal destruction practically of all types of waste is put into operation. Application of the combined type of high-temperature neutralization of waste and two-level purification of flue gases allows to reduce negative impact on the environment as much as possible.
