Results of the Fleet Expansion Program of FSUE “Rosmorport” in 2016

The maritime fleet has always been, and remains the most important component of Russian transport complex and an integral part of national economy. Its replenishment is one of priority tasks for functioning of seaports of the Russian Federation and increase in their competitiveness.

The total number of vessels of FSUE “Rosmorport” exceeds 250 units.

In 2016 at the expense of its own means the enterprise finished construction of 17 vessels, the total cost of which amounted to 4 520,39 million rubles.

That year the Onezhsky Ship Building and Ship Repairing Plant constructed high performance non- -propelled dredger Petr Sablin, two Krutoyar and Yury Romanchenko buoy boats and Bata workboat. Besides, launching of Spolokhi ice-strengthened workboat has taken place.

The dredging fleet of the enterprise was also replenished with Severnaya Dvina dredger with a volume of hold of 2000 m3 performing dredging works in approaches to the seaport of Sabetta and in water areas of the seaport of Arkhangelsk. At the Krasnoye Sormovo plant construction of the dredging vessels Sommers, Kronshlot and Kadosh with a volume of hold of 1000 cubic meters has been completed ahead of schedule.

Besides, one buoy boat and three hydrographic boats, and also a hovercraft have been purchased.

In 2016 ice tests of the diesel electric icebreakers Murmansk and Vladivostok constructed according to the federal and target program “Development of Transport System of Russia (2010-2015)” have been successfully completed. On December 26 delivery to the state customer of the third vessel of this series – Novorossiysk ice breaker has taken place.
