On October 5, 2016 a ceremonial launching of Kadosh dredger of TSHD 1000 project, constructed under the FSUE “Rosmorport” order, was held at the shipyard of PAO “Zavod “Krasnoye Sormovo” (a public liability company) in Nizhny Novgorod.

FSUE “Rosmorport” Executive Director Andrey Lavrishchev thanked the plant workers for the work done during the past three years.

“We consider three dredgers constructed at the plant to be extremely important for our enterprise. The first dredger of the line – Sommers – is already working in the Caspian Sea in the seaport of Makhachkala. Its operation is assessed positively. Today, launching the third vessel, I would like to note that we are very pleased with the cooperation organized. “Krasnoe Sormovo” is a rare plant that copes with its tasks ahead of schedule” – Andrey Lavrishchev noted.

The Kadosh vessel was named after the cape in the Black Sea, located near Tuapse. In the course of the event a traditional ceremony of vessel “christening” took place. Head of the Tariff Policy Department of the FSUE “Rosmorport” Marina Bondarenko became the vessel’s “godmother”. According to a marine tradition, she broke a bottle of champagne over the vessel's bow inaugurating the beginning of its “new life”.

“Kadosh” is the third and final vessel of the line of three same-type dredgers constructed by the order of FSUE “Rosmorport”. In 2016, the Sommers and Kronshlot vessels were also transferred to the enterprise.

The contract envisages transfer of the third dredger at the beginning of 2017, however, the plant plans to implement the commitments ahead of time and to transfer Kadosh until the end of 2016.

Vessels optimally suite the operating conditions in the water areas and on the approaches to the Russian seaports. Versatility combined with high performance are the main advantages of the TSHD 1000 dredgers.

Vessels of the TSHD 1000 project are able to excavate soil at depth up to 20 meters and operate with water temperature between -2 ° C to + 20 ° C.
