FSUE “Rosmorport” Participates in the International Forum “Marine Industry of Russia”

27 vessels are currently being under construction for FSUE “Rosmorport”. This was stated during the VI International Forum “Marine Industry of Russia” by the Head of the Enterprise Fleet Construction and Development Department Vladimir Shtrambrand.

In his report “On current and future orders of FSUE “Rosmorport” he noted that construction of 8 new vessels, including two linear diesel icebreakers MW Vladivostok and Murmansk of project 21900М with a capacity of 17.4 was completed last year. This April, the icebreakers successfully performed ice tests in the Kara Sea.

In addition, the construction of the icebreakers Viktor Chernomyrdin and Novorossiysk is continued in the Baltic and Vyborg shipyards.

"We believe that the current indicators of the Novorossiysk icebreaker construction progress of will allow us to put it into operation this year,” said Vladimir Shtrambrand.

According to him, the construction of the r Viktor Chernomyrdin icebreaker is delayed, and the time lag is approximately 2 years behind the construction schedule. According to the information received from the general contractor JSC “United Shipbuilding Company” (USC), the launch is scheduled for this October. According to the customer, the icebreaker Novorossiysk will be transferred at the end of 2016.

Vladimir Shtrambrand reported that the construction of the Severnaya Dvina dredger with the hold capacity of 2000 m3 for the FSUE “Rosmorport” Arkhangelsk Branch is nearing completion. The contractor is plannning to transfer the vessel to the customer this June, which is 4 months earlier than the contractual deadline.

Three dredgers with hold capacity of 1000m3, which are constructed on Krasnoye Sormovo Shipyard, are also scheduled for early delivery.

In his report Vladimir Shtrambrand noted the responsible attitude to the execution of orders from the management of the Onezhsky Ship Building and Ship Repairing Plant.

“In order to utilize the production capacity of the shipbuilding subsidiary, we placed the order at the Onezhsky plant for the construction of six working boats of project ST23WI - M with ice strengthening with the pilot delivery function,” he said. The shipyard plans to deliver the first two boats by the end of the year, which is 10 months before the contractual deadline. Moreover, three mud boats, as well as pontoons and other elements of the hull of a high performance non-propelled dredger are being constructed at the Onezhsky Ship Building and Ship Repairing Plant.

 Vladimir Shtrambrand ended his speech saying that FSUE “Rosmorport” presented proposals for renewal of the icebreaking and dredging fleet to the Federal Agency of Maritine and River Transport, and they involved the construction of 12 new icebreakers and 21 dredgers before 2030.
