More Than 100 Сadets to Train on MV Professor Khlyustin

Cadets of the Maritime College of the Maritime Academy of MSU n.a. admiral G.I. Nevelsky, who will undergo practical training on MV Professor Khlyustin, have arrived at the port of registry of the ship to the city of Vladivostok.

On March, 29 2016 a group of 109 students were placed on board training ship Professor Khlyustin of FSUE “Rosmorport”, where for two months they will be studying the structure and mechanisms of the motor vessel and learning the principles of its operation. The resulting experience will help the students to consolidate and develop practical skills related to their future professional activities. For successful completion of the internship and obtaining the qualification of “seaman” and “motorman”, cadets have to pass a number of qualification examinations.

The cooperation of FSUE “Rosmorport” with industry-specific educational institutions contributes to the building of human capacity as a key resource for development of the Russian transport complex.

Training double-deck ship Professor Khlyustin of Project-80 was built at a shipyard in Szczecin (Poland) in 1973. The ship was named after a prominent Russian naval figure, professor, Doctor of Naval Sciences, Engineer Rear Admiral Boris Khlyustin.
