Professor Khlyustin Training ship  (TS) is preparing to take on board cadets to conduct  practical training.

On March 22, 2014 the ship left OOO “Dalzavod” dock after completion of planned dock repair, which included ship's system and machinery fault detection, repair of surface and underwater parts of the hull, their cleaning, dyeing, restoration of sacrificial protection. The rudder and steering system, propeller shafts and screws have also been repaired. At the same time, outboard fittings were inspected, crimping, cleaning and dyeing of ballast tanks, tanks for fresh and potable water took place at the dock.

Currently, check of working capacity of systems and mechanisms of the ship, moored at the quay wall of the shipyard, is being finished. Then mooring and sea trials will be performed. In accordance with the results of thereof, the exploitation of the ship until classification repair will be allowed.

On March 25, 2016 Professor Khlyustin is expected to leave for the seaport of Vladivostok, where boarding of cadets of MSU n.a. admiral G. I. Nevelsky is planned in order to conduct the sailing practice training.
