The project of creation of the sea passenger and cruise transportations international centre in the seaport of Sochi obtained positive conclusion of Glavgosekspertiza

On June, 08th, 2010 FSUE “Rosmorport” deputy General director Konstantin Rudenko took part in the seventh session of the Mixed Russian-Greek Commission on Economic, Industrial, Scientific and Technical Cooperation in Sochi. The delegation was headed by co-chairmen of the commission Minister of Transport of the Russian Federation Igor Levitin and deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Greek Republic Spyros Kouvelis.

Within the limits of the visit Konstantin Rudenko reported about realization of the program of Olympic objects construction and development of the city of Sochi as a mountain and climate resort. In particular, he informed on a construction process of objects in the seaport of Sochi, 8 sea terminals in the seaport and cargo area in a river Mzymta mouth.

According to Rudenko dredging works are carried out at the moment in the river Mzymta mouth, protective and strengthening constructions are restored. “The design documentation and engineering researches on strengthening and protective constructions obtained positive conclusion of Glavgosekspertiza”, - explained Rudenko. Also water area clearing from technogenic objects is made at the site for the purpose of maintenance of the ecological safety which Rosmorport pays particular attention.

“Rosmorport” completed design and exploration work on the federal property objects in the seaport of Sochi. “In April, 2010 the project obtained positive conclusion of Glavgosekspertiza, - underlined Rudenko. The general contractor for development of working documentation and building of the federal property objects will be defined in June, 2010 by tender results”.

At the same time Rudenko informed on intention to restore sea passenger transportations in 2010-2013 and to create a corresponding infrastructure along the coast of the seaport of Sochi. “The construction of 8 sea terminals in the seaport of Sochi (Imeretinka, Adler, Kurgorodok, Hosta, Matsesta, Dagomys, Loo, Lazarevsky) is provided in the program of Olympic objects construction for this purpose», - explained Rudenko. In February of current year FSE “Glavgosekspertiza of Russia” issued positive conclusion on their building.

During the meeting FSUE “Rosmorport” deputy General director Konstantin Rudenko appealed to the Greek businessmen and investors to make active business contacts and expressed confidence that it becomes good base for expansion of bilateral cooperation.

Next session of the Russian-Greek Commission on Economic, Industrial, Scientific and Technical Cooperation is planned to be held in the autumn 2011 in Greece.
