23 winners of the competitive selection on the basis of the My Port educational project completed their training at the Russian Children's Center Oсean. From August 7 to 27, children and grandchildren of employees of FSUE "Rosmorport" learned about maritime affairs, the history of Siberia and the Far East, and local natural attractions on the Pacific coast.

The camp hosted teenagers aged 13 to 17 from Primorye, St. Petersburg, Moscow, Rostov abd Kaliningrad regions, Stavropol Krai. They participated in two teams, " Okeanskaya eskadra" and " Tigrenok", following the programs " Ocean Shipbuilders: Pioneers" and "Game Master".

Over three weeks, the participants expanded their knowledge about Siberia and the Far East, as well as about great Russian navigators. They gained expedition experience, learned to work as a team, and support each other.

The children also took part in building a centerboard boat and a maritime parade reconstructing the Battle of Gangut. They learned to sail on the dinghy "Yal-6" and on centerboard boats of "Optimist" and "Vorien" classes, as well as on the training sailing vessel “Lena”.

During their stay at the camp, children participated in a shipbuilding quiz, a parade of historical vessel models titled "How a Russian Man Made Siberia Part of Russia", training in the structure and management of "Dragon" class canoes, and educational hikes to Eagle's Claw Rock and Piglet Bay.

"I flew across Russia from west to east for the first time. My time at Ocean went by in the blink of an eye! I made a lot of new friends, learned to sail, and discovered so many fascinating things about seamanship. Overall, I had an amazing time. This is probably the best summer I've had so far, and I wish it would never end," told 15-year-old Darina from Kaliningrad about her impressions.

The camp session concluded with a gala concert in the amphitheater, where the Royal Circus of Gia Eradze presented "The Eternal Art of Wonder". Young viewers enjoyed masterful performances on a rotating pedestal and skilled jugglers' acts.
