On August 7, training started for 86 winners of the competitive selection held on the basis of the My Port educational project under the programs of the Russian Children's Center Ocean (Vladivostok, Primorye Region) and Enjoy Camp (Domodedovo, Moscow Region).

Two programs involving 23 children and grandchildren of FSUE “Rosmorport” employees started during the ninth shift at the largest Far Eastern children's center located on the Pacific Ocean coast: “Ocean Shipbuilders: Pioneers” of the team “Okeanskaya Eskadra” and “Game Master” of the team “Tigrenok”. The training of children who arrived at the camp from different regions of the country will last until August 27.

The participants will learn the basics of sailing, of shipbuilding and maritime science, find out about the structure and management of canoes, the history of navigation, as well as go on excursions to visit natural attractions.

Enjoy Camp holds a thematic program “Shipbuilding. Chosen by the Sea” featuring 63 winners of the competition.

The main activities for the participants consist of two blocks. During the language development program, children will both practice English and immerse in project activities in the field of shipbuilding. In the end, they are going to apply their knowledge in practice by creating their own ship model and testing it.

The career guidance program offers an in-depth immersion into the world of maritime science, including hands-on training in the basics of navigation, nautical knot tying techniques, sea rescue, etc.

The session will end with a big celebration for children and their parents called “Rosmorport Day”. On the final day of the program the Seaports Festival and a gala concert “Chosen by the Sea” will be held on the camp territory, where the participants will demonstrate their skills acquired during the training.
