Floating berth in the seaport of Taganrog receives the first passenger vessel of the year

On July 7, the four-deck cruise vessel "Sergey Kuchkin" moored to the floating berth No. 9 in the seaport of Taganrog.

The stay of the vessel, owned by the Vodokhod company, will last for 16 hours. During this time, tourists will have the opportunity to explore the city's attractions, following the Chekhov route, visiting the embankment, and the Taganrog museums.

On July 4, Mikhail Ozheredov, Deputy Director of the FSUE “Rosmorport” Azovo-Chernomorsky Basin Branch – Head of the Azov Department, reported on the readiness of floating berth No. 9 to accept passenger vessels during a conference call chaired by the Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation, Vitaly Savelyev.

The activities aimed at resuming passenger transportation were conducted in accordance with the instructions from Valentina Matviyenko, Chairperson of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation.

The berth has been installed in its designated position and secured with 36 anchors, ensuring stable positioning with water level fluctuations of up to 2.5 m and sea swells of up to 2 m. Its buoyancy is provided by metal structures and plastic modules.

The structure measures 96 m in length and 16 m in width. The floating berth is designed to accommodate passenger vessels up to 140 m long, which includes modern vessels with a capacity of up to 450 people.
