Oil Products Transshipment Terminal Water Area put into operation in the seaport of Temryuk

In accordance with a permit issued by the Rosmorrechflot, the water area of the oil products transshipment terminal in the seaport of Temryuk has been put into operation. This marks the completion of the second phase of the terminal's construction project.

As part of the reconstruction, dredging works were carried out in the terminal's water area. This has enhanced vessel navigation safety and ensured access to Berths No. 1 and No. 2. The dredging area covered 39,074 sq. m.

The project was initiated as part of the Comprehensive Plan for the Modernization and Expansion of Core Infrastructure until 2024. It envisaged two phases with a total designed capacity of 2.1 million tons per year. The first phase included completion and commissioning of two oil products transshipment berths and onshore facilities in October 2021. The second phase included creation of federally owned assets: the operational water area and navigational aids.

Further development of the terminal is planned under the federal project "Development of the Core Network of seaports". The investor is "Temryukmortrans", LLC. The primary goal of the project is to facilitate the export of oil products to countries in the Black Sea and Mediterranean basins, as well as to support coastal shipping (cabotage). An additional cargo turnover increase of 2.4 million tons per year is projected.
