Sergey Pylin, General Director of FSUE “Rosmorport”, took part in the events of the first day of the 6th ‘Arctic: Territory of Dialogue’ International Arctic Forum, which is held on March 26-27 in Murmansk.

The head of the enterprise attended the session “State support for northern supply chains: challenges and prospects”, during which measures to reduce the cost of purchase and delivery of the northern supply goods in order to ensure affordable socially important goods for the population were discussed, as well as possible areas for optimizing logistics to speed up deliveries.

Sergey Pylin and Vladimir Sedykh, Director of the FSUE “Rosmorport” Arctic Basin Branch, also took part in a joint meeting of the commissions of the State Council of the Russian Federation on the issue: “Integrated Approach to Arctic Development: Shaping the Arctic and Northern Sea Route National Project".

The meeting discussed the prospects for the development of the territories of the Arctic zone of the Russian Federation and the Northern Sea Route, which have now acquired strategic importance for the international positions and internal growth of our country, including the issues of ensuring safe navigation in the Arctic and building a fleet to operate on the Northern Sea Route. The meeting solemnly launched the events dedicated to the celebration of the 500th anniversary of the beginning of Russia's exploration of the Northern Sea Route.

FSUE “Rosmorport” ensures safe navigation in the waters of eleven Arctic seaports – Arkhangelsk, Varandey, Dikson, Dudinka, Kandalaksha, Mezen, Murmansk, Naryan-Mar, Onega, Sabetta and Khatanga – and on the approaches to them. In particular, in the Northern Sea Route, the enterprise provides icebreaker and towage services, as well as VTS services.

In order to organize efficient work in the Arctic region, FSUE “Rosmorport” completed the establishment of the Arctic Basin Branch of the enterprise in February 2025. The new united division was formed on the basis of the Murmansk Branch, to which the abolished Arkhangelsk Branch was merged as a department.
