On December 20, the annual meeting of the Board of the Federal Agency for Maritime and River Transport and the Public Council under Rosmorrechflot was held. Sergey Pylin, General Director of FSUE “Rosmorport”, attended the event.

The board meeting summed up the preliminary results of navigation on inland waterways, work on redirecting cargo flows to inland waterway transport, and discussed the implementation of youth policy and educational activities in educational institutions of higher and secondary education. Special attention was paid to the issues of training specialists in maritime and river transport and patriotic education, including the policy pursued by leading maritime universities and FSUE “Rosmorport” on early career guidance for children through the implementation of specialized maritime shifts for schoolchildren in the country's largest child centers.

Vitaly Klyuev, Director of the Department of State Policy in the Field of Maritime and Inland Waterway Transport of the Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation, and Viktor Deryabkin, Deputy of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation, addressed the participants of the board with welcoming speeches.

This year the seaports capacity has exceeded 1 billion 360 million tons. In his speech, Vitaly Klyuyev stressed that this created a great foundation for the further development of transportation to meet the needs of the country's economy.

Viktor Deryabkin noted the successes of the water transport industry in 2024, as evidenced by the results achieved in the transportation of goods and passengers, maintenance of inland waterways and hydraulic structures. The deputy thanked the team of sailors, rivermen, port workers, and crew members who perform the tasks set by the President of Russia around the clock.

During the meeting, awards were presented to distinguished employees of the maritime and river industry. Sergey Dadyka, Project Manager of the Fleet Operations Department of FSUE “Rosmorport”, was awarded the Peter Gubonin Medal, named after the famous Russian railway constructor and philanthropist.

Ekaterina Kulakova, Head of the Communications Department of FSUE “Rosmorport”, and Denis Tsmokol, Head of the Promotion and Exhibition Bureau of the Communications Department of FSUE “Rosmoprort”, were awarded Letters of gratitude of the Head of the Federal Agency for Maritime and River Transport for preparation and carrying out the events during the XVIII International Forum and Exhibition “Transport of Russia”.
