Andrey Tarasenko, Head of Rosmorrechflot, and Sergey Pylin, General Director of FSUE “Rosmorport”, made a working visit to the Sakhalin Region on October 24, 2024. Several business meetings on the development of port infrastructure and shipping in the region were held there.

The heads of Rosmorrechflot and FSUE “Rosmorport” had a working meeting with stevedores and operators of sea terminals of the Sakhalin Region, at which issues of increasing cargo traffic and performing repair work in Sakhalin seaports were raised.

During the business visit to the Sakhalin Region a meeting on the state of the marine industry in the region was held with the head of the FSBI "Administration of the Seaports of Sakhalin, Kurils and Kamchatka" Vladimir Shutko, captains of the seaports Korsakov, Prigorodnoye, Nevelsk, director of the FSUE “Rosmorport” Sakhalin Branch Alexander Shraitel and his profile deputies. The meeting participants heard reports from the head of the FSBI "Administration of the Seaports of Sakhalin, Kurils and Kamchatka" and the captains and discussed issues of reconstruction of port facilities and development of the infrastructure of seaports using the capabilities of FSUE “Rosmorport”.

On the same day, Andrey Tarasenko and Sergey Pylin took part in a meeting with the Government of the Sakhalin Region under the leadership of Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Sakhalin Region Sergey Olontsev, dedicated to the implementation of state programs in the field of development of Russian maritime transport.

During the meeting, special attention was paid to the reconstruction of coastal structures of the Vanino - Kholmsk automobile and railway ferry service in the seaport of Kholmsk, the largest project in the region, the customer of which is the Federal State Institution “Rostransmodernizatsiya”. The implementation of the project will significantly improve passenger and transport ferry service between Sakhalin and the mainland of the country. As a result of the reconstruction, the ferry line will be able to receive ferries of a new type with increased capacity (CNF11CHD project).

The two-stage project will include reconstruction of ferry berths, dredging works, arrangement of railway tracks and communications, as well as landscaping. Currently, FSUE "Rosmorport" is conducting dredging operations of the first stage in Kholmsk.

Among other things, the meeting discussed the issue of changing the boundaries of the territory of the seaport of Korsakov within the framework of the project “Creation of a multifunctional cargo area of the seaport of Poronaysk”.

Sergey Pylin, General Director of FSUE "Rosmorport", also visited the Sakhalin Branch of the enterprise. During the workshop, Alexander Shraitel reported on the implementation of the production program for 2024, the state of the port infrastructure facilities and the fleet of the branch.

Concluding their visit, the head of FSUE “Rosmorport” and the director of the branch visited the seaport of Korsakov, the largest port in the region, where they discussed the prospects for its development.

Currently, the preparation of documentation on the project for the reconstruction of port infrastructure facilities in the Korsakov seaport, which provides for three stages, is ongoing. First of all, it is planned to build a breakwater pier and reconstruct the berths of the southern loading area. The second stage involves the dredging of the operational water area and the approach channel of the Rybniy Port facility, the third — the reconstruction of the highway bridge, the section of the bridge junction, the concrete road and the shore reinforcement of the new branch.

Positive conclusions of the state expertise were received for each stage. The design documentation and the results of engineering surveys of the 2nd and 3rd stages are sent for consideration by the state environmental expertise.
