FSUE "Rosmorport" supports the II All-Russian Maritime Congress
On September 24-25, the II All-Russian Maritime Congress was held in Moscow with the support and participation of FSUE "Rosmorport", a large-scale event that brought together the leading players of the Russian maritime industry on its site.
The company's delegation, headed by Sergey Bazarny, Deputy General Director for Fleet, consisted of more than 20 people. On the opening day of the event, representatives of FSUE "Rosmorport" participated in the discussions of the congress on the development of the Great Northern Sea Route, the strategic development of Russian shipbuilding, the reboot and qualitative growth of the Russian maritime industry. As part of the business program of the congress, the company's delegates also attended a number of significant events: the foresight session "Personnel in the marine industry: forecast 2050", the strategic session "International cooperation in the marine industry", the seminar "Modern materials and solutions for shipbuilding and ship repair", as well as the panel discussion "Shipbuilding 4.0: vectors of digital transformation".
To demonstrate the dynamic development and competitiveness of domestic water transport, FSUE "Rosmorport" presented its own photo exhibition at the Business Contacts Center of the Congress. It became a real showcase of the achievements of the Russian shipping industry. The key theme of the exhibition – ensuring the continuous development of the service and auxiliary fleet to strengthen transport and logistics infrastructure throughout Russia - is covered through the presentation of the world's largest and most powerful non-nuclear icebreaker, Viktor Chernomyrdin, which successfully operated in the Gulf of Finland during the winter navigation of 2023-2024 and in the western part of the Northern Sea Route from April to June of the current year.
The innovative dual-fuel vessels Marshal Rokossovsky and General Chernyakhovsky, providing transport accessibility to the Kaliningrad region, became the central element of the exhibition. Eco-ferries have earned special attention by becoming the first Russian naval vessels to receive certificates of marine autonomous and remotely operated surface vessels. Currently, they successfully carry out commercial activities on the Ust-Luga Seaport – Kaliningrad Seaport line, embodying a new era in the development of Russian water transport.
In addition to the advanced achievements of the domestic fleet, the participants were presented with information about the Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky VTS, a unique facility built in February 2024 in conditions of increased seismic activity. Equipped with modern equipment, the Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky VTS has become the 25th system in the economic management of FSUE "Rosmorport". The facility allows for guaranteed detection and steady tracking of vessels in the bay of Avacha Bay and on the approaches to it in order to prevent the development of dangerous situations and assist in navigation.
A specially equipped lounge area, created for comfortable communication between guests and participants of the event, has become an ideal platform for sharing experiences and establishing new business contacts. The participants had the opportunity to communicate with the FSUE "Rosmorport" representatives, learn about plans for the development of domestic water transport and discuss topical issues of the industry. The exhibition of FSUE "Rosmorport" on the sidelines of the Maritime Congress has become a real event that demonstrated the stable development of the marine industry in modern realities. The presentation of high-tech vessels and advanced technologies was a vivid confirmation that the Russian shipping industry is on the way to a successful future.
