FSUE “Rosmorport” is the general partner of the industry forum “Sea and River Ports of Russia: Infrastructure, Investments”, which took place on November 30 in Sochi. The organizer of the forum is the Global Port Development Company.

Among the participants of the event there are representatives of government authorities and business structures, heads of leading companies of the transport complex and domestic shipyards, manufacturers and suppliers of domestic equipment and materials. FSUE “Rosmorport” was represented at the forum by a delegation consisting of employees of the central office, the North-Western Basin, the Azovo-Chernomorsky Basin and the Caspian Basin branches.

The industry forum is devoted to the issues of building new transport routes in modern economic conditions, attracting investments in the industry, developing port infrastructure and environmental aspects of its operation and prospects for the implementation of “green” technologies in seaports. The event also discussed such relevant topics as methods of restoration and reconstruction of hydraulic structures, technical solutions and materials for the construction and reconstruction of port infrastructure in the context of import substitution and costs reducing.

The event was opened by the report of Elena Dayeva, Head of the Scientific and technical group of the FSUE “Rosmorport” Investment and Strategic Development Department, on the enterprise's promising projects on dredging and port infrastructure development and problems faced during their implementation. Special attention during the presentation was paid to typical errors and, consequently, improper quality of design documentation developed and submitted by specialized and design organizations for approval by the customer and FAI “Glavgosexpertiza of Russia”.

At the end of the speech, the speaker presented a video about the progress of FSUE “Rosmorport” and about development of the 188-kilometer Volga-Caspian Sea Shipping Canal (VCSSC), unprecedented for our history, which is aimed at fulfilling the task of ensuring passage through the canal for vessels with a draft of at least 4.5 m. The task was set by the head of state.

As the owner of the largest dredging fleet in the country, the enterprise provides dredging operations to achieve the navigation parameters of the seaport water areas, as well as carries out the construction of unique hydraulic structures and maritime safety facilities, introducing new technological solutions at all stages of work. FSUE “Rosmorport” has been the largest customer for the development of design documentation for the reconstruction and construction of marine transport infrastructure facilities for 20 years.
