FSUE “Rosmorport” takes part in The Big Port of St. Petersburg: Problems and Prospects in Modern Context Conference
Andrey Boldorev, Head of the FSUE “Rosmorport” Investment and Strategic Development Department, and Nadezhda Kalashnik, Deputy Director for Economics and Finances of the FSUE “Rosmorport” North-Western Basin Branch, participated in the ХV Annual International Conference “The Big Port of St. Petersburg: Problems and Prospects in Modern Context”, which took place in St. Petersburg on June 20-21.
Serik Zhusupov, Executive Director of the Association of Commercial Seaports, opened the conference. Among the guests of honor were Dmitry Panov, Chairman of the Investment Committee of the Legislative Assembly of St. Petersburg, and Roman Kokunin, Deputy Head of the Seaports and Infrastructure Development Department of Rosmorrechflot.
The participants of the meeting discussed such topical issues as the development of railway approaches to the seaports and terminals of the North-Western basin, specifics of multimodal transportation in the conditions of traffic volume recovery in the North-Western direction, new maritime and multimodal services, optimal logistic solutions for linear maritime transportation.
Andrey Boldorev made a video conference report on the main results of maritime transport for 2022 and prospective projects for the development of the seaport infrastructure.
For example, in the Baltic basin the increase in capacity is to be provided by the large-scale development of the seaport of Ust-Luga in cooperation with Ultramar LLC. In this project, FSUE “Rosmorport” performs the functions of the customer for dredging works in the water area of the terminal. In the Kaliningrad Region, the construction of the international sea cargo-passenger terminal in the city of Pionersky with a capacity of 3 million tons of ferry cargo and up to 250 thousand cruise passengers a year is going on. Reconstruction of the barrier dams of the Kaliningrad Sea Canal is being carried out.
In the seaport of Primorsk, a project for the construction of the Primorsk Universal Transshipment Complex with a capacity of 65 million tons is being implemented. In the Arctic zone of the Russian Federation FSUE “Rosmorport” is involved in the reconstruction of the first and second cargo areas of the seaport of Murmansk. The implementation of the project on the creation of the 2nd stage of the offshore LNG transshipment complex is continuing in the region.
The development of seaports in the Azov-Black Sea basin is connected with the reconstruction of the Taman liquefied hydrocarbon base with a capacity of 2.5 million tons, the creation of a transshipment base for large and heavy cargo in the seaport of Taman with a capacity of 0.3 million tons, the construction of berths 22A and 23A of pier No. 3 of the seaport of Novorossiysk for transshipment of 11.5 million tons of grain and construction of a universal transshipment complex based on the Novorossiysk shipyard with a capacity of 12 million tons. The main areas of development in the Far Eastern basin will be coal transshipment terminals in the seaports of Vladivostok and Vanino.
In the solemn part of the event, the organizers noted the significant contribution of the FSUE “Rosmorport” North-Western Basin Branch to the maintenance of maritime traditions and thanked for their informational openness, high professionalism, and active participation in the conference events.
