Everybody is welcome on board the FSUE “Rosmorport” icebreakers during the Icebreaker Festival in St. Petersburg

From April 29 to May 1, residents of St. Petersburg and guests of the city can visit the Vladivostok, Captain Zarubin and Captain Sorokin icebreakers of FSUE “Rosmorport” with a free excursion during the X Icebreaker Festival.

The Icebreaker Festival, which opens the summer tourist season in St. Petersburg, promises to be especially bright this year. 2023 is an anniversary year both for FSUE “Rosmorport”, which celebrates its 20th anniversary, and for St. Petersburg - the city on the Neva turns 320 years.

The enterprise's icebreakers, being open to the public, will be moored at the Lieutenant Schmidt Embankment. The grand opening of the festival will take place on April 29 at 12:00. Access to icebreakers will be provided from 12:00 to 18:30 on April 29 and April 30 and from 12:00 to 18:00 on May 1. You can apply for a free ticket here.

On April 29 at 18:00 there will also be a Parade of Sails – a regatta at the Blagoveshchensk Bridge, and on April 30 at 14:30 there will be a Waltz of Tugboats – a legendary dance in the water area of the Neva, which has already become the hallmark of the festival.

The Krasin icebreaker museum, a legend in the exploration of the Arctic Ocean, will become a platform for special events during the entire period of the festival. Thematic exhibitions and workshops for children and adults will be held on the territory of the festival.

The festival with the participation of the FSUE “Rosmorport” icebreakers has been held since 2014 jointly with the Committee for Tourism Development of St. Petersburg and the Maritime Council under the Government of St. Petersburg in order to develop domestic tourism, popularizing cultural family holidays and introducing maritime professions to the population.
