At the Grafskaya Pier in Sevastopol, the starting ceremony of the sea voyage "Sails of the Memory of the Black Sea" was held, in which Khersones sailing training vessel of FSUE "Rosmorport" takes part.

As part of the solemn event, wreaths were laid at the Eternal Flame at the Memorial of the Heroic Defense of Sevastopol 1941-1942. Igor Mikheev, Vice-Governor of Sevastopol and Vyacheslav Rodionov, Deputy Commander of the Black Sea Fleet, who were present at the ceremony, said parting words to the participants of the sea voyage.

Within two weeks, 335 participants of the sea voyage, including cadets of the State Maritime University named after Admiral F.F. Ushakov, cadets of the Black Sea Higher Naval School named after P.S. Nakhimov, students of the Naval College of Sevastopol State University, cadets of the Branch of the Nakhimov Naval School in Sevastopol, sea cadets of the "Unarmia" and pupils of the Sevastopol Children's Naval Flotilla will make a trip from Sevastopol to Novorossiysk and back.

Stops along the route of the sea voyage are planned to be made in the "Artek" camp, as well as in Kerch, Feodosia, and Novorossiysk. At the points of entry of vessels, participants will hold sports events, visit memorable places and museum complexes related to the theme of the campaign, and lay floral tributes at memorials and monuments.

In addition to the sailing training vessel Khersones, the rescue tugboat SB-742 and the communication boat KSV-2155 of the Black Sea Fleet, sailing and motor yachts of the Black Sea Higher Naval School named after P. S. Nakhimov, cruising yachts of the State Maritime University named after Admiral F.F. Ushakov cruising sailing and motor yacht of the Regional Branch of the "Unarmia" and the schooner of the International Children's Center "Artek" are involved in the sea voyage.
