At the same time, the transshipment of bulk cargo increased by 1.5 % to 422.4 million tons due to an increase in the transshipment of oil (by 1.3 %) and petroleum products (by 2.7 %). The cargo turnover for dry cargo increased by 2 % up to 412.8 million tons compared to the results of 2020.

In 2021 growth of dry cargo turnover was shown by the seaports of the Baltic (4.8 %), Azov-Black Sea (2.4 %) and Far Eastern (1.4 %) basins. Growth of liquid cargo volumes was recorded in the seaports of the Baltic (4.6 %) and Azov-Black Sea (1.4 %) basins.

The largest increase among dry cargo was shown by the transshipment of coal and coke - by 7.6 % and containerized cargo - by 6.1 %. The decrease in volume indicators of vessels served was mainly caused by the decrease in the volume of transshipment of oil and oil products in the seaports of Prigorodnoye, Kavkaz, Tuapse, De-Kastri, of coal and coke in the seaports of Vysotsk, Vostochny, Shakhtersk, of grain in the seaports of Kavkaz, Novorossiysk, Rostov-on-Don, of rolled cargo in the seaports of Kavkaz, Kerch, Vanino, Kholmsk and of containerized cargo in the seaport Big Port of St. Petersburg; by the decrease in the number of dry cargo vessels coming from inland waterways and transiting the seaports of Rostov-on-Don, Azov, Astrakhan and Olya, as well as in the number of vessels calling at the seaports of Nakhodka, Vostochny, Vladivostok, Posyet and Kaliningrad for bunkering.

At the same time, the revenue growth was due to an increase in the volume of transshipment of dry cargo in the seaports of Taman, Ust-Luga, Big Port of St. Petersburg, Arkhangelsk, Vanino, of bulk cargo in the seaports of Primorsk, Murmansk (commissioning of the marine transshipment complex for LNG), Vostochny, Sabetta, Taman, Vysotsk, Novorossiysk, Big Port of St. Petersburg, Nakhodka and of rolling cargo in the seaports of Big Port of St. Petersburg, Novorossiysk, Vladivostok, as well as to an indexation of harbour dues rates from November 30, 2021.
