The first stage of the specialized coal transshipment complex in Muchke Bay put into operation (CPMI)

The first stage of the specialized coal transshipment complex was put into operation in Muchke Bay in the Vanino seaport. The project is part of the federal project "Seaports" of the Comprehensive Plan for the Modernization and Expansion of Backbone Infrastructure until 2024. FSUE “Rosmorport” will create federal property as part of an investment agreement with JSC VaninoTransUgol on the implementation of the project.

The event was attended by the head Rosmorrechflot Aleksandr Poshivay, the General Director of FSUE “Rosmorport” Andrei Lavrishchev, Acting Governor of the Khabarovsk Territory Mikhail Degtyarev, the Head of Yakutia Aisen Nikolaev, the Governor of the Kemerovo Region Sergei Tsivilev, General Director of Far East Development Corporation JSC Dmitry Tetenkin, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Kolmar-Group JSC, Anna Tsivileva and General Director of JSC VaninoTransUgol Yuri Tyamushkin.

At present, FSUE “Rosmorport” is forming the water area for the future terminal. The construction of the operating water area of berths No. 1 and No. 2, as well as the water area of​ the turning zone, will provide a safe approach for SN-115 type vessels with length of 266 meters, width of 40.5 meters and load draught of 15.4 meters to berth No. 1, and vessels of type SN-163 with length of 292 meters, width of 45 meters and load draught of 17.1 meters to berth No. 2.

The implementation of the project will provide an increase in transshipment capacity in the amount of 24 million tons per year by 2023, in particular, at the first stage there will be provided a capacity in the amount of 12 million tons. This complex is intended for transportation of high-quality coking coals from Yakut deposits for the subsequent export. Upon reaching full capacity, the VTU transshipment complex will become one of the largest Russian marine coal terminals. The modern technological equipment of the complex, which is equipped with a powerful dust control plant, includes overflow stations, car dumpers, conveyor galleries and ship loading machines. The process of environmentally friendly coal transshipment is based on a single closed loading cycle.

The total investment in the project is 45.33 billion rubles, of which 1.35 billion rubles is allocated for federal property.

In addition, according to the press service of Rosmorrechflot, the head of Rosmorrechflot, together with the General Director of FSUE Rosmorport, the management of FSBI SMP of Okhotsk Sea and the Tatar Strait, and the captain of the Vanino seaport inspected port infrastructure, including the reconstructed terminal of Vanino-Kholmsk ferry crossing, as well as hybrid boats recently commissioned by the Vaninsky Branch of FSUE Rosmorport as part of the working trip.
