On 20 October 2015 General Director Andrey Tarasenko made a visit to JSC “Krasnoye Sormovo” plant” in Nizhniy Novgorod to review construction of vessels for the enterprise dredging fleet.

At the moment, the shipyard in Novgorod is engaged with construction of 3 dredgers with holds volume of 1000 m3 for a FSUE “Rosmorport” order. The vessels will be used in basins and on approaches to the seaports of Tuapse, Ust-Luga and Big Seaport of Saint-Petersburg, in order to maintain navigation depths.

The dredgers under construction will be equipped so as to show high productivity and be able to operate in weather conditions of each particular region. For dredging in sharp sand and gravel and in limited areas near wharves and berths all the vessels of the series will be equipped with multifunctional sinking suction pump type DOP 200.

After the visit to the site a meeting with the plant administration was held dedicated to fulfilment of the contract. It was emphasized that the construction meets the timelines of the project, and even overtakes them slightly.
