On 5 June 2015 FSUE “Rosmorport” General Director Andrey Tarasenko met the workers of subsidiary enterprise – OOO Onezhsky Sudostroyitelno-Sudoremontny Zavod (Onezhsky Shipyard, a joint-stock company) in Petrozavodsk.

The meeting is associated with the opening of the shipyard after discontinuation of its production activities, which is planned on 06 June 2015.

During the meeting the participants discussed prospects of shipyard activities, nearest orders for ship design and construction, and signing agreements on cooperation, which are to be made during the upcoming opening ceremony.

Andrey Tarasenko wished substantial orders and successful performance to the shipyard workers.

Onezhsky Shipyard was founded in 2002 on the basis of the ship repairing capacities of the Belomor-Onezhsky shipping company created in 1944. But in 2011 after change of the management production stopped, and the enterprise went bankrupt. In the end of 2014 it was decided to resume activities and assign ownership of the shipyard to the state.
