All the participants of this new stage, about 80 sailing ships of diferent classes, are now staying at Kristiansand seaport of Norway. Here they are waiting for the regatta to start and depart to Aalborg port of Denmark. It is expected to determine the winners in the end of this week already.

This is the second race of the regatta, in which one of the fastest frigates – Mir – is taking part. The first race started on 18 July from Alesund to Kristiansand and was passed by the sailing ship in 5 days, after that the ship moored in the Norway seaport to organize "open board" and excursions for all the guests and sailing sport lovers.

During the moorage the master and the crew of Mir together with crews from other famed Russian sailing ships, Kruzenshtern and Captain Sedov, solemnly laid wreaths on the tomb of soldiers who had given their lives in Kristiansand during the Second World War. The procession was organized by the Russian Embassy and held in the framework of celebration of 70th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War of 1941 – 1945.
