Meeting of the Marine Board under the Government of the Russian Federation Presidium

Executive Director Andrey Lavrishchev took part in the meeting of members of the Marine Board under the Government of the Russian Federation Presidium, which took place on 21 October 2014 in Moscow, and was headed by Dmitry Rogozin, Deputy Prime Minister and Chairman of the Marine Board under the Government of the Russian Federation.

The meeting was focused on the routes and the Russian civil shipbuilding produce necessary for arrangement of high-speed passenger service in the Black Sea basin, and also measures to encourage modernization of the existing fishing fleet vessels and construction of the new ones.

Besides, the participants of the meeting reviewed the project for the construction of Pechenega international seaport near Pechenega Bay (Murmansk Region).

Pechenega Bay (Pechengskaya Bay) is a bay (fjord) located in the Barents Sea. It has the length of 17 km, width of 1-2 km and depth of up to 118 m. The bay enters the sea in 25 km from the Russia-Norway border.
