Mintrans of Russia Commented on the List of Seaports Opened for Foreign Vessels Entry

In its information notice dated 09.10.2014 Mintrans of Russia commented on the regulation of the Government of Russia dated 29.09.2014 No. 1912-r which established the list of seaports opened for foreign vessels entry.

In particular, according to Mintrans of Russia, the 51 seaports listed by the Government of Russia are seaports with Border checkpoints, legal acts on their opening for foreign vessels entry whether were not adopted, or the documents on their opening were not found in the State Archives of the Russian Federation, or they were opened by some secret acts.

From this follows that the mentioned list of the seaports does not include the seaports that do not have checkpoints and the seaports that were opened for foreign vessels entry by earlier orders and regulations of the Government of Russia.

Thus, in addition to the list of seaports declared open for foreign vessels entry by regulation of the Government of Russia dated 29.09.2014 No. 1912-r, in the Russian Federation the following seaports are currently opened for foreign vessels entry:
- Varandey;
