Minister of Transport of Russia Makes Working Trip to Kavkaz and Taman Seaports

Minister of Transport of Russia Maxim Sokolov on July 14, 2014 made a working visit to Kavkaz Seaport where he inspected the work of the automobile ferry line the Crimea – Kavkaz. Following the results of the inspection of the ferry complex Maxim Sokolov held a series of working sessions, which were attended by the Rosmorrechflot head Alexander Davydenko, the FSUE “Rosmorport” General Director Andrey Tarasenko, representatives of the other state and local authorities, as well as the Autonomous Non-Commercial Organization “Integrated Transport Directorate” – a single traffic operator for the transport service of the Crimea.
 
The subject of the discussion has become the current traffic situation in the area of ​​the ferry and making the necessary organizational and technical proposals to increase its capacity.
 
During the discussions, the Minister of Transport of Russia has decided to establish an interagency working group including among others the representatives of FSUE “Rosmorport” to coordinate the work of all the participants of the transport process in order to promptly solve the tasks to ensure the stable operation of the ferry.
 
The Minister of Transport of Russia in the framework of the working trip program has also visited the Taman Seaport, where he together with the Assistant to the President of Russia Igor Levitin has held a meeting on the development of port infrastructure and transport approaches to this seaport. The meeting was also attended by the Rosmorrechflot and FSUE “Rosmorport” senior management.
