General Director of FSUE “Rosmorport” Andrey Tarasenko and President of Shanghai Bestway Marine Engeneering Design Co., Ltd. Liu Nan in the presence of Ministry of Transport of Russia Maksim Sokolov on June 18, 2014 in Shanghai (Chinese Peoples Republic) signed Memorandum of intentions.

The document which has come into force from the moment of its signing fixes the interest of the parties in partnership in the field of organization, development and use of infrastructure in seaports of Russia and China.

The parties of memorandum have expressed their readiness to develop cooperation in various forms, including mutual consultations on the issues of modernization and technical upgrading of transport and technological transshipment complexes, seaports and other facilities of coastal port infrastructure.

The memorandum provides for bilateral cooperation in the field of shipbuilding, engineering and modernization of the port technical and shore equipment; exchange of experience in carrying out rescue operations at sea, introduction of various forms of bilateral technical and project sharing in the development of equipment for the retrieval of sunken property; enhancing cooperation in information and analytical pilot projects for the study of markets for goods, works and services in the field of maritime transport.

Based on the experience of mutual cooperation the Russian and Chinese companies will consider the possibilities of organizing training and professional retraining of their employees in order to expand the capacity of the parties in the development of maritime transport infrastructure.
