On April, 30th, 2010 in Baltiysk the ceremony of transferring a fire station constructed by the FSUE “Rosmorport” Kaliningrad branch to Central administrative board of the Ministry of Emergency Measures of Russia of the Kaliningrad region took place.

In the ceremony took part acting director of the FSUE “Rosmorport” A.F. Demenok, chief of Central administrative board of the Ministry of Emergency Measures of the Kaliningrad region major-general J.L. Chinchukov, mayor of Baltiysk M.N. Nasyrov and also employees of the FSUE “Rosmorport” Kaliningrad branch, Central administrative board of the Ministry of Emergency Measures of the Kaliningrad region and city administration.

The construction project of passenger-and-freight, autoferry and railway terminals in Baltiysk for maintenance of their fire safety envisaged a modern fire station on the territory adjoining to these objects. The administration of Baltiysk addressed the FSUE “Rosmorport” Kaliningrad branch with a request of building the fire station within the town limits for maintenance of fire safety not only to the objects of the Automobile, railway and ferry complex, but also to the town buildings and constructions. The FSUE “Rosmorport” Kaliningrad branch in coordination with the central office of the enterprise and Central administrative board of the Ministry of Emergency Measures of the Kaliningrad region with the support of the Minister of transport of the Russian Federation I.E. Levitin and the Governor of the Kaliningrad region G.V. Boos the decision on building the fire station within the town limits was accepted.

The construction of the fire station went on from September, 2008 till December, 2009 with the support of the administration of Baltiysk. The total cost of construction has amounted 86 million rubles.
